Oh yeah, I meant to say, I am too lazy and transportation-challenged to bring the stuff to a rescue myself.
Natter 72: We Were Unprepared for This
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Hmm. I've had this weird buzzing feeling in my leg for the past few days. I finally resorted to Dr Google, who tells me it's either multiple sclerosis, diabetes, or...clothes that are too tight. Thanks Dr Google. (Apparently there's some nerve there that can get irritated)
I tried to trace back all this apocalyptic talk, and I swear it almost all comes from one journalist with no particular qualifications. Here's a bottom line: The absolute worst conceivable scenarios at Fukushima cannot be worse than Chernobyl, and we're all still here. Also, NUCLEAR FUEL CANNOT EXPLODE. *head desk head desk head desk*
Well, that is both good to know, and bad, because people are tripping.
Happy birthday, Kate!
Should I try NANOWRIMO this year?
I say yes. It would be crazy for me to try it what with all that's going on, but it is tempting given that for the first time in forever I'm actually making headway into writing fiction. So I will likely try to at least push that draft forward in a very big way. So, er, will kind of be there with you, but as the slacker friend who isn't try quite as hard as you.

RAKISH ARMOIRE. Interesting.
The next suggestion cracked me up: SLUTTY IMAGINARY NUMBER
Oh, that's a good one for Hil!
62/63 in the house. Pumpkin is down with being completely under the covers. Loki's coat is so lush, he gets too warm covered up. Drops below 60 inside and I'll relent and turn on the heat. Because I don't have fur.
Mom's birthday today and so far they're not home yet.
So we're tight on cash till payday in a week. I was mulling over the good fortune I've had in the past, how while I don't get big miracles, someone/thing always comes through in a crisis.
I get home. There's a big envelope addressed to me from a gas and oil company in Pittsburgh.
It's a request to lease my share of the mineral rights for 70.4 acres in the coal/gas fields of Southwestern Pennsylvania. $2,000 per mineral acre (whatever that is, research ahoy!).
There are 10/11 located heirs. I don't know how many mineral acres there are in 70.4 acres.
I despise the energy companies that are raping my ancestral home. But one person out of 10/11 won't stop this. They already own a third of the rights. And even if I only have one mineral acres, $2,000 would be very useful. I have to have a grand in hand before I can get cataract surgery (thankfully a couple of years before crucial).
I don't get miracles, but the Goddess loves me.
Research has occurred. A mineral acre is roughly equivalent to a basic acre. $144,000 up for grabs. I wonder what the tax bite on $14,000 is for lease payments.
I'd best send my sister an email and see if she's gotten this and what she's done.
But dear god, I hate the frackers.
Holy windfall, Connie!
ION, my cleaning product headache/backache meds nap lasted 4 hours. Yikes. But my headache is gone, and I think I can complete my 5 tasks remnants before midnight. Go team NightCleaning!
Also, I think I am going as a Disco Owl for Halloween. My creativity and cash flow is at an ebb.
