Spike: You pissed in the Big Man's Chair? That's fantastic! Gunn: Spike, can you please turn off that warm fuzzy? Spike: What, the Lorne thing? Worn off. I just think that's bloody fabulous.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thrive to spite them

Nothing like finally clearing a way to get your car out. Then get ready and go out to scrape the ice/snow off, only to find you've been plowed in.

Not just behind my car, but it pushed snow between my car and the drift so I had to dig that out. I think I can now get the car out, not sure if I'll be able to get it back in, especially with more snow and plowing. At this point I'm wishing I hadn't cleared all the snow from in front of my door and just let winter have its way.

Our wings are not tired.

I do not miss that stuff at all. I grew up with snow, but left town after I married and have lived in warmer climates since then. I only shovel if I visit my sister and pitch in some.

We had snow in Pittsburgh, Philly, and Richmond from time to time, but not like this year that I recall.

My biggest issue here is that the A/C in my office is too cold! Hurricane cleanup can be a real chore, but thankfully it has been quite a few years without a direct hit for us.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Askye, if I still lived in snow country, I'd totally need this to help clear the snow

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

So, guy from the first gig, that was only two days, called me today and pressed me if I was able to work for him. I had to tell him I'd picked up a gig covering the days he needed me.

Which leaves me worried that Job #2, for five to six weeks of work, won't be hiring me.

And, of course, it's too late to pick up the shifts I could with latecomer Job #3.

Compassionately intolerant

The wind has been so high around here over the last two days, it's been full on cray cray.

A full sized motorcycle next to my building was blown over.

Walking down the city street at mid-day, there were times when I could not make forward progress.

Wind chill this morning when I set out...3...below the Mason-Dixon.

CRAZY.

eta: tomorrow, it is supposed to be 58.

I say again...CRAZY.

All is well that ends in pizza.

MNSure finally caught up with billing me. Apparently they are skipping the premium until now and starting payments at the EOM.

$29/mo while I'm unemployed and getting what I get for UI compensation. With $3 scripts and free test strips, I should be OK until I get a job and it goes up.

I do wish all states had the coverage we get in Minnesota. Every time I read about the stupid hoops and twists, it boggles.

Not that Minnesota's new MNSure didn't have it's own problems, but even the limited ACA that was passed federally is better than before.

Anyone still struggling, all I can say is I hope it gets better for you soon.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

i'm going to make a half assed complaint

DH had a procedure/surgery today .It all hapened with only a few days notice so I did not get the day off

I felt all frazzled and like I was missing something - in the discharge papers it says something about liquid Tylenol which I missed and do not have. no one mentioned it. DH could use it. I feel like the discharge information was incomplete. I'm given a number to call with questions problems - when I call it - oh the doctoer doesn't answer those calls go to urgent care or er. SERIOUSLY?

I think he is asleep now. but i am angry , upset and a little scared

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Oh that's no good, Beth. I'm sorry.

You might be able to talk to someone at a nurse hotline or something and describe the procedure and what info you do have from discharge and get advice.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

By liquid tylenol do they just mean the children's stuff? That would be my guess. If so, any drug store should have it.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

NyQuil sore throat is basically liquid Tylenol with a little menthol.
