Compassionately intolerant

Our loan has been funded!

I seriously got choked up when I read this. What an ordeal this has been for you two. Happy birthday indeed!

Laura is me in this way.

How wonderful for you Pix and ND! Well deserved, hard fought and what a frickin' relief!!

I'm clappyhandshappy for you.

And Epic said to you, Sean, what I would have about the journey being one foot in front of the other, rather than having the whole thing figured out right now. Her path is very similar to mine and look how happy we are!!

In fact, I had this same conversation with a therapy client just one hour ago...which led me to an interesting notion.

In as much as I have struggled to find my niche, I'm wondering if it might be 37 year old professional women who are considering total career changes.

That seems to be mighty specific, and yet, it is a sweet spot of mine.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

vw, I swear I was just thinking when I saw your first post, "I wonder if vw is pregnant". I'm sorry that there are concerns with the pregnancy. All sorts of ~ma headed your way. And job~m for your DH. He's such a great guy and so talented, people should be beating down the door to give him a job.

That is very exciting, vw! I hope the doctors are caring and compassionate and help you to figure this all out rather than leaving you trapped by a lack of wind, to stick with your metaphor. My best thoughts for a happy outcome.

Thanks, sj.

Sparky1, the doctors have been more than amazing. The high risk specialist is not my favorite, but I don't think that's the fault of him personally. I think I wouldn't be taking the news well from really anyone. My OB is fantastic, though, and answers all of my questions and concerns. I've been really trying hard to not visit Dr. Google, which means the doctors get a lot of questions from me. I have to admit that I left the ultrasound yesterday (when they started throwing around "triploidy") and felt like sticking my fingers in my ears and saying, "lalalalalalalalalala."

vw, I'm glad you have a good OB. Are you in a wait and see situation or running lots of tests type situation?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Seconding this:

vw!!!!!

And wishing you all the best ~ma.

We're in a wait-and-see situation for now. They offered to attempt CVS yesterday, but he didn't think they'd be able to get the sample, which just cemented our current no-invasive-testing stance. We'll have another ultrasound in two weeks.
