That's hilarious, Sean. Ah, the randomness of the autocorrect fairies!
Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Wooo, Norgay! Sherpaaaaaaaa!
...OK, I might be a bit loopy from the ridiculousness of trying to sleep in the sleep study last night and then having a latte and two doughnuts this morning for breakfast.
Verdict on sleep? Mild apnea! I'm crossing my fingers this means a CPAP will make waking up in the morning a magical experience like it's never been? We'll find out--I have an appointment for next week to test one out. Of course, it would mean dragging one around on my travels, which would/will be a pain.
Amusingly, when I told my father (who has awful snoring and apnea) he was like "Yknow, I don't know anyone who's done a sleep study who HASN"T been told they have apnea, makes me wonder if it's a racket..." Hah. I told my sister to go get one too.
I did a sleep study and didn't have apnea. I am just bad at falling asleep. And sometimes staying asleep.
I can't sleep anymore without my CPAP, my head congests too much when I'm horizontal.
Happy Norgay, Pix & Maria, and many happy returns!
Sean, I'm so glad to hear that. You are working so hard, and I'm truly sorry your dad doesn't see the value in that, but we do. {{Sean}}
Pix, that's fabulous news! Congratulations and Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday as well to Maria, and congrats on the house! I know this is an incredibly tough time of year for you, but I hope you get to do something fun and celebratory for your birthday.
And hugs all around, especially to those dealing with memories and legacies of poor parenting. My mother is another one who grew up in a toxic, miserable house, with an alcoholic dad and a mother with (almost certainly) untreated major depression. And yet she has turned out to be a fabulous, loving, attentive, and thoughtful parent, and I feel so lucky to have her as my mom. I'll always be grateful that she worked so hard not to replicate the behaviors of her own parents, and I have every faith that the Buffista parents who are engaged in that same struggle can be successful at it too.
{{Ginger}} I hope it is a quick healing variety of pull.

I seriously got choked up when I read this. What an ordeal this has been for you two. Happy birthday indeed!
Happy birthday Maria! I am grateful I got to give you pre-birthday hugs when you were in Delray Beach.
Sean, I hope you find the help and resources you need to reach YOUR goals.
On sleep, apparently the new meds make this an easy thing for me. I am getting at least 12 hours a day. Yesterday I was handling phones for the office and thought I would just 'close my eyes for a couple minutes'. DH came dashing in from the next room when the phone wasn't getting answered not a foot from my ear. Out cold.
If I don't get a nap at some point I am out of it by 7pm.
Happy Birthday Pix and Maria.
Oops. With all the medical craziness, I completely forgot to make reservations for dinner on Friday for after the play we have tickets for. And of course, it is Valentine's weekend, so everything we have gift cards for or groupons for are booked up. So on a whim I called a newish kind of fancy restaurant right near the theatre that I have been wanting to try, and they had a table available.

Yay, Pix!
Happy Birthdays to Pix and Maria! I hope you both have a wonderful year ahead.
Sean, good for you and best of luck getting it all worked out. What classes are you planning on taking?
Boo!
