Inara: So, explain to me again why Zoe wasn't in the dress? Mal: Tactics, woman. Needed her in the back. 'Sides, those soft cotton dresses feel kinda nice. It's the whole... air-flow.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Yay SJ! And cheers for everyone able to acknowledge their mental health issues and finding ways to keep moving forward. This place is such a good resource, there's always someone up and around.

And yes, I *love* the breaks from real emergencies for bizzarre requests. It's impressive how many people think police will shovel for them as a public service to fend off cabin fever. Nope, they're too busy dealing with the people fighting, rollover accidents, cars off the road, and shootings and stabbings. Yes, people still shoot and stab each other during snow storms. I know, we all wish they'd give it a break....but they don't. Also robberies...and those bad guys are way easier to track in heavy snow.

I give the lady asking for fire fighters to shovel the parking lot props for originality: everyone else thinks police will do it, she at least asked for the fire dept and had Reasons to back up that choice. They were not Valid Reasons, but still. A nice break in the day of alarms and car accidents :)

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

My therapy involves lingering problems with my dad, about how he left when I was 3, and wad never able to express anything but disapproval about me. I never did anything right, and always screwed everything up.

In so many ways, I am still frozen in time as an abandoned 3 year old.

I'm still angry at him for being angry at me for not being born a professor of education with a PhD.

hmmph, well from my limited knowledge, those particular titles/achievements do not make one a necessarily thoughtful and caring person, so you can do much better. I SAY SO, IT IS SO!

Heh. As I posted on FB earlier, I have the local police on my twitter feed, and they post about all the incidents. Someone (unclear if the SAME someone or different someones!) called at 2PM, 3PM, 5PM and 4AM about a "suspicious person" hanging out in the 1-2 block radius of my house. I don't know if there's one SUPER sketchy person being called about by multiple people, if it's a dispute, if it's one paranoid person calling about lots of folks, or if there's LOTS of sketchy people wandering around, suddenly!

(ETA: Also, hugs, hairpats, warm fuzzy blankets, and yay surgery done!)
