[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Update: we're home, about to go to bed. His immune system has crashed, they're not sure what's spiking the fever, said Tylenol and maybe anti-biotics. Wear the mask, avoid people, use the Purell. Four more months of treatments with incrementing reactions. I'll feel more sane with sleep. In to work for the second half of my shift.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Oh, Connie. I hope work is a good distraction for you. Sending~ma for both of you.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh Connie, sorry to hear you're in that zone. Might the fever be caused by his immune system reacting to the chemo? Whatever the cause, I hope it responds well to the tylenol. And that you both get some rest.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Connie, I have this image of your husband wearing a mask decorated to look like a snarling tiger, or a T. Rex about to chomp on a tasty critter. If I had any artistic ability, I'd decorate some and send them to you. (Although that might compromise them from an immune system standpoint -- being thoroughly manhandled by another person with germs of sketchy origin.)

You guys, all my motivation is gone today. Part of that is that I'm drugged up to my eyeballs with allergy meds, and part is...no motivation. Bleh. Need some.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

We're supposed to find out the results of the blood test that will determine whether my mother can have her surgery in a week. They were supposed to be in Friday and did not appear. My mother hasn't called me, and I'm not going to call and add to her stress about it, but damnit, waiting sucks.

At work, feeling more sane. He's feeling dumb for what he sees as a waste of the doctors' time and my stress. Me, when doctors say multiple times "Go to the ER if the fever hits X," and it then hits X, that's a fairly obvious move. If nothing else, we've seen what the reaction to the condition is. His future plan is to take some Tylenol when the fever starts flirting with 100.X, maintain his extreme water drinking ways, then re-evaluate if fever proves stubborn. Oh, and avoid people when possible. The plans to take the grandkids out to the range are indefinitely postponed, dear little plague vectors that they are.

Oh, good. My mother called, and her results are normal. Surgery on Monday.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm glad the results were what you wanted, Dana.

Connie, I'm glad you have a plan for any future fevers. I'm sorry you had to change your plans with the grandkids, though.
