Happy birthday, WindSparrow!
Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Happy birthday, WindSparrow!
Should we schedule a full on Onerous Task Day?
Would tomorrow be good for everybody?
I did some onerous tasks, setting up a physical for Emmett (medical clearance for sports) and called back to do a medical study (I would be in the Healthy Control Group for Depression. They wanted to know my handedness - which is a new wrinkle.)
I've been getting some regular exercise in since just before the new year, and I'm trying to eat better using Brenda's Vegetables First approach.
Tonight I try, Roasted Cauliflower Gratin.
No amount of cheese in the world can redeem cauliflower. It is the anticheese.

I love cauliflower! And JZ would disagree with you, as she'd eat her way through a bucket of shoelaces to get to a Laughing Cow.
Connie, your Hubby's chemo sounds suspiciously like "eye of newt and toe of frog, wool of bat and tongue of dog."
So far he hasn't gotten the bag of ominous dark red drug that other patients were getting. Of course, there are some things that his cardiologists said "No way in hell are you giving that to him, are you crazy?"
Tom, I used to make choufleur en verdure from Julia Child's book. Pureed (cooked) cauliflower and watercress, mixed with seasonings, grated gruyere cheese, heavy white sauce, then baked in a casserole with more cheese, breadcrumbs and butter on top. yummy!
That does sound yummy
Hubby got the price tag for today's shot. $25,000, for fugu, yew, periwinkle, and something called happy tree (something Asian). All natural!
Eye of newt indeed. May good things come of it.
Where was that whole-head roasted cauliflower thing being discussed? If I can find it I might try that tonight.
I have discovered that my sweet Marley's expensive medical tests have shown he is in perfect health, which is great news, but still leaves us stymied about why his appetite has decreased dramatically.
Full labs? So blood panel and urine? If you rule out physical, psychological. But from what you said, I'd still wonder at physical. Or a change in the food makeup. New bag?
Happy birthday, Andi.
