I just fell off a ladder while installing some window insulation. And this was entirely stupid and entirely my fault, because I knew that the ladder was wobbly, and I went up above the "do not stand above this step" step anyway. Nothing horribly injured, but my right leg is going to be pretty bruised up, and I think I might have sprained my ankle. I'm going to ice the ankle and see how it does.
Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Oh, no, Hil! Bubble wrap.
Damn Hil. Healing vibes wafting over the internet.
I was fine while climbing up the ladder, since I could hold onto the window frame for support. I didn't really stop to think that, once I taped the insulation into place, the frame would be behind the plastic.
I totally sympathize. As someone with physical limitations myself, I've hurt myself doing the "Oh, I can manage this" dance more than once.
I don't think that this one can be blamed on any physical limitation other than being too short.
I'm working hard on the whole tact thing, but apparently my lack of talent in that area still causes trippage. I had the impression walking is not as easy for you as for your average bear. That could influence things like falling off ladders.
Oh, that sounds nasty, Hil. Hope it's not too painful..
Edited to wave at Windsparrow and Scrappy!
I'd make some sort of smart remark, but I think I just pulled something after getting my feet entangled in the packing material from my new crockpot.
I tripped over my own feet last week and sprained my ankle.
