Connie, what everyone else said. And if you want to talk, my profile addy is always good. I went through the same scenarios when Rob got his cancer diagnosis. And you know where I am now, so...

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I really have not had a lot of close friends ever since. I've been wary and expect that friends will let me down in some fundamental way. I had a really good time in college for the most part and good experiences in grad school, but when you've been let down like that, it is kind of hard to be as open as others might be.
Reading this made me realize, I have a thing where I'm, like, amazed inside when a friend does something that shows that they really DO like me as much as I like them. I'm 42 years old, you guys - this stuff just tweaks your brain for life.
Aims, probably the parent volunteer was just jealous and wondering where he/she can get WW underwear.
Where DID you get the WW underwear?
this stuff just tweaks your brain for life.
It really does. I still have to throttle the Inner Voice that tells me my friends don't really like me or want me around.
I had another interview today, and I think this one went pretty well.
And now I'm eating leftover burrito for lunch/snack/dinner/whatever, because some of my friends and I ended up going to possibly the least vegan restaurant in the world for lunch, and I got a salad, with no dressing.
I got the WW underwear at Target! Along with Supergirl and Batgirl! Which of course meant I had to buy t-shirts to match. They're boyshorts, too. Which I love.
Fortunately, the parent volunteer is a friend and she was hootin' with laughter over the phone. And she asked where I got them, too.
Called it!
Schedule change again--first chemo is Monday, down here in our town, praise be. If all goes without any hitches, 8-10 hours. If any kind of reactions, he'll be admitted and it will stretch over two days. Then every three weeks for about 6 rounds. I'm going to get him his own cell phone, because we were able to work on that scheduling and finalize some drugs while we were at lunch. Gosh, this 20th century technology is nifty.
That's good, Connie. I'm glad you're able to do it in your town.
completely unrelated ...
Steph, I went by a local place and thought of you - they have a TATER TOT HAPPY HOUR. Vodka cocktails and unlimited free tater tots at the bar.

God above, that is a beautiful thing.
