We are listening to the Sesame St. Xmas (currently at the Bert-Ernie-Mr. Hooper "Gift of the Magi" part, sniff) and my mom is putting the finishing touches on dinner. Gifts were exchanged and delightful at that - we got my mom The Southerner's Handbook, autographed by three of the essayists. I got colorful socks and Hild and a yoga gift certificate, among other things. Been a lovely Xmas so far.
Hey Seanie, check yer email.
I read that as Sesame Saint Xmas.
Much love, Sean.
Sean, I hate that you are having such a sucky Christmas. I wish better things for you. I wish that I could do better than wish for you send more love.
ETA: because someone reminded me that I could do more than wish.
I'm going to call my mother for Christmas.
Cover me, I'm going in.
ETA: Line's busy, reprieve.
teaching mom & her bf how to use their computers & internet. Fun!

Yeah, that's the kind of fun that's not.
IOChristmasN I did get through to my mom. A bit of mom~ma if you please - she had a chest x-ray and CAT scan after a bout of flu-like illness, which showed some spot(s) on her lungs. She was offered the choice of a needle biopsy or waiting a couple months to do another chest x-ray. She has joined Team Procrastination (for which I can't blame her) Her doc says this might be some left-over pneumonia (!?!), or scarring from having whooping cough as a child, or of course it might be a tumor. I can't say I blame her for not wanting them to
shove a needle in through her chest wall, into her lung
to find out fast.
Gracious! Much healing Mom ~ma coming MomofAndi's way.
Oh no, Andi! ~ma to her and to you. And I would agree that nobody wants
a needle shoved into their chest cavity
for Christmas. Or any day, really.
Lovely day overall, including an extensive text conversation with a boy I rather fancy but haven't met yet. Now to sleep. G'night, everyone. Love love love.
