We slept in this morning and are about to venture back to the house. This is always a hard time, but tomorrow we fly to Florida to spend a week with my dad, and I'm really excited about that.
Sean, I hope you figure something out with the apartment. We haven't spoken up here because of course we know your roommate well and feel very awkward about being in the middle of that situation. I am wishing you a good solution.
Sean, I'm so sorry. Tons of ~ma headed your way.
Pix and ND, I'm so sorry. ~ma all around.
That sucks, Sean! I hope some kind of (pleasant) resolution comes. I can completely sympathize with that big knot of dread you probably are feeling in the pit of your stomach (mine still hasn't completely gone away from the events of this year).
I cling to Shir's good wishes for all of us as to a life raft in a stormy sea.
Brackets to Sean and Pix and ND and everyone else. My serious holiday wish is the last line of a favorite science fiction novel: "Enough for everybody, and nobody gets hurt".
Oh, Sean. So shitty.
Virtual hugs to all who want and need them.
I'm at my parents'. It's been pretty lovely so far. We've got the gas fire on and are listening to Nat King Cole and drinking tea. I only wish I could share it with y'all.
Much ~ma to all who need it!
We're having a quiet holiday, me and my sis and my nieces and two small dogs. There has been no drama, thankfully. Maybe the drama diva is over all that. Right now we're watching HGTV while dinner finishes cooking.
"Enough for everybody, and nobody gets hurt".
Ima echo Typo here.
The best of everything to everyone!
It's an off kilter holiday for me...I'm listening to Christmas music on all reggae style and making bone broth in the crock pot.
The last two days, it has been in the high 60s and raining. Today, it was blowing snow showers a few minutes ago and now the sun is out.
What??
I switched to 'dance' Christmas music and just listened to an electronica version of Oh Danny Boy. Somehow I think the beat master missed the meaning of that particular ditty.
I feel like hammered shit. Joe and Em are at his dad's house for the Christmas Eve festivities and I am on the couch with my 101.7 fever and feeling miserable and cranky and utterly non-Christmasy.
