Kaylee: Is that him? Mal: That's the buffet table. Kaylee: Well how can we be sure, unless we question it?

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Oh jeez, Drew, that's a sucky tradition. I'm sorry.

We had Chinese food and family drama at our house. My sister was antagonizing our brother (who is admittedly kind of a jerk and ridiculous about calling shit Marxist) but then later asked our mom if she could have these masks that used to be on the wall and aren't anymore. Brother suddenly got all up in arms that sister is stealing family heirlooms from under his nose, damnit! Which...um, no. First off, not really an heirloom. Second, not stealing. Third...WTF, are you really going to take those back to Europe with you?? Anyway, it escalated from there, though by the end I was laughing hysterically because I don't want any of it, so they were like "no, you might have to fight meara for those [name random thing mom got at a garage sale and none of us wants]"

Our wings are not tired

I was trying to figure out if this is the fourth or fifth time Christmas has involved the ER.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Ma~~ and peace drew.

I think you found you line for the holiday meara - every time somebody starts to fight about something stupid - just tell people they are going to have to fight for that old bent crochet hook in the bottom drawer.

Exactly, Beth! The only thing I want are pictures, but I'm fine with a scan of them, rather than the original. I do really like my grandmother's dining room table (Danish Modern, back when it was...newly modern?) but depending on what's going on when my parents either pass away or move into a home that doesn't have room for it, I may or may not be able/willing to get it from Indy to Seattle (or wherever I am) so...yeah. Not super attached to it.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

So I just got the three day notice to pay rent or quit. My useless fuckbag of an ex-roommate still hasn't paid me. I'm so livid that I can barely speak right now.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Drew, I hope all is well.

Sean, eek! I hope things get resolved quickly.

Buffistae, happy holidays from my family to yours! [link]

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh Sean, not good. Hope it works itself out.

GC, happy holidays to all of you! Such a lovely family

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

So I'm on neurontin now for the pain issue and it's working better for sleep so far that all the options we've tried. Today, in honor of annual tradition of getting sick for Christmas (not as bad as ND's family, thankfully, only ended up at urgent care once and that was after 2 straight days of vomitting and the stepmother started to worry about dehydration. It's apparently poor form to return your new husband's daughter damaged after a holiday with your family) I have a brutal cough. Like, the kind that's super painful and makes you worry about losing bits of lung. I have tylenol 3 w/ codeine which usually works like a charm for knocking out both me and any wicked cough but the internet tells me there is a drug interaction. From best i can tell they just intensify each other WRT drowsiness and grogginess which is fine by me....I came home early from work and just want to sleep till it's time to go back tomorrow. Anyone know if I'm cruisin for misery in the morning?

The status is NOT quo.

We are still in the ER but getting discharged. Exhausted.

Our wings are not tired

I would have much rather kept my Dive Bar Christmas tradition. Alas the bar closed a few years ago and Mom still goes to the ER every few years. At least she didn't get admitted to the hospital this year.
