[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Yay Harvey!

Also, thanks, everyone.

Yay, Harvey!

Nora, you are going to be awesome in your new career.

I feel a little better this morning. My fever seems to be down, but I can't stop coughing.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Hey, we got our first wedding presents! Or possibly they are technically shower gifts, because my family wedding shower is Sunday, and the cousin who sent the gifts lives in NC and can't come back for the shower (which I didn't expect anyway).

Tim really really wanted an egg slicer and a knife sharpener. So now he has them. (Along with lids for our expensive pots and pans.) I think it's 100% awesome that our first gifts were things he wanted.

I should go hard-boil some eggs right now so he can use the slicer when he comes home.

Yay, Teppy. I hope you have a wonderful time at your shower.

It should be good -- it's small (just my lady-family and Tim's lady-family, so about 12-14 people), in the garden at a kinda fancy restaurant, and because my family is throwing it, it's a champagne brunch. So no games and stuff. Just really good food and booze.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

askye, your birthday is on Bloomsday!

Food and booze is better than games if you ask me, Steph. Sounds like a lovely shower.

My mother's idea of a small shower was 50 peopleeand she's still complaining about the 20 or so people she couldn't invite.

ETA: I insisted on no games, so we had food and booze too.

We're having Father's day brunch this year again, and I am apparently a control freak. I hate asking people to bring things because I want things just so. I e-mailed someone about bringing finger rolls and she agreed to bring bulky rolls. I don't want bulky rolls. Why, yes I am completely insane, why do you ask?

I don't know what finger rolls are, but I am intrigued.

And hungry. I think I need to make some lunch.

Finger rolls: link The important part is they're much smaller than bulky rolls. I make too much food, so I like everything to be in small sizes so that people can have a little of everything.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I feel like there might have been a couple of games at my shower, because my grandmother threw it, but they must not have been traumatic because I don't remember them. And because my grandmother was not that kind of person.
