At Steph's recommendation I made lasagna in the crock pot a while back. I was amazed how well it turns out. I was expecting sort of like a skillet lasagna, but it's brown and crispy on top, perfectly done underneath - not mushy or soupy. And super easy.
Spike ,'Sleeper'
Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
brenda, last night, as I was lying in bed, the subject that crossed my mind was Steph's crock pot lasagne!
Honestly, I was ruminating on the unbelievability of physics of just what you described. How can that be?
How can _anything_ be crispy in that environment!
I make granola in my crock pot, too -- it's a lot less prone to burning than when I make it in the oven.

GENIUS
Seriously, I must try this. Because I love granola, and it just never goes well when I try to make my own.
Magic, is my theory.
I am struggling with "the perfect is the enemy of the good" but feel I need to ask one more question before getting on with the web show marketing.
My days of boring y'all with this are definitely coming to a middle.
No, I actually mean 'end.'
My current tagline is: A web show where we talk about the things you just don't want to talk about...but should.
I've been getting pushback on the word 'should' which I do understand.
I'm trying to be a bit controversial because my style is totally appreciative and supportive, BUT very proactive.
Anyway, I just haven't found the perfect words, despite understanding the objections.
This morning, I came up with: The web show where we talk about the things in life that are hard to face, and even harder to talk about.
That seems kind of long.
I have a web person producing a facebook fan page, so I need to make a decision quickly.
I'd appreciate any thoughts!

I love granola too.

This was the recipe I used as my springboard (with granola, you can pretty much throw in whatever you want): [link] It's from a crockpot/slow cooker recipe site, so it's worth poking around for other recipes.
bonny, what about "...the things you don't want to talk about...but need to know"?
Ugh, I burned my boob pretty badly by spilling hot soup on my chest. Slept clutching freezer packs and this morning it's not as painful but has some blistering. I put on Lush Ultra Balm and a large bandaid over the blistery part to protect it from popping before it finishes healing.
Wah.
