Facebook clued me in to the fact that my beloved Niecelet went to my sister's place for Thanksgiving from college in Alaska. I'm either not a fan of Facebook or family. Since I have to get through December, I am blaming Facebook for now.

Teppy, I vote you explain to your aunt that the method she used is for obscenity and that's she's now flagged you with facebook as, basically, peddling porn. That they will be watching you carefully now. Lay it on thick and guilt the hell out of her.

Then tell her that, in the future, you'll be certain to not tag her in any photos so that she can make the decision herself if people she knows outside the family will see her in a family photo. Just ignore any assertion on her part that she has any say in your wedding photos.

Basically? I advocate a campaign of guilt and passive aggression. It's the holidays, after all.

Tim's opinion, and my mom (Aunt's sister) agrees with it, is that my aunt didn't understand what she was clicking. I can kind of see that -- she does describe herself as "technologically ignorant" -- but I still think she had some idea of what she was doing. Because untagging yourself and asking FB to remove a picture are 2 separate actions. You can't do both at the same time accidentally. You have to choose to untag and then go back and ask FB to remove a picture.

I'm taking the path of least resistance, though, and assuming she didn't know what she was clicking, and ignoring the whole thing. Not removing the picture, not engaging with her. If she contacts me again about it, then we'll have to have a discussion.

I can see a technologically ignorant person maybe continuing to click around and thinking "Oh, I should do this too".

I can see where she might think she was asking you to remove the picture. I still like Trudy's plan!

Sometimes I hate Facebook because it lets me know exactly how much I'm being excluded from events and suchlike.

Tru fax. The NYE party that is held every year by the former friends ("that's not really teaching") invite went out the other day. I felt a lot more about it than I anticipated. On the other hand, there are people that have avoided the party a couple of years now because Joe and I have been there that will probably go so good for them. Maybe I will find a place for the Punk to spend the night while Joe and I go to the movies and then come home and put on our business socks.

I have had two courses of treatment 3 treatments each with Avasitin injections in my eyes. The surgeon who did this reccomednts another course of treatments. But I'm going on medicaid next year, and she does not accept medicaid. She has referred me to another surgeon who looks to me like a good doctor An acquaintence of mine who is the daughter of a surgeon, says it is a really bad idea to switch doctors during the course of a treatment, and that further she is obliged to finish treating me since she started the course of treatments. I am not a lawyer (and neither is she) so I don't know where the law stands on this. Even assuming there is a law that can would require this, it strikes me as a really bad idea to force someone who treats you by sticking needles in your eyes to continue sticking needles in you eye. So my inclination is not to put stand on my legal rights even if I have them. (Though, given that there is another qualified doctor who does accept mediciad for the new course of treatment my common sense is skeptical that I have a legal leg to stand on.) Also the place I was treated at is a mill. The whole point about continuity of care is that the surgeon knows my eyes. She looks at pictures which will be avialable to the next doctor. She spends aboout 15 seconds looking in my eyes, and about a minute sticking the needle in. Everything else is prep by other people, and her looking at pictures. So I'm not even sure how strongly the "continuity of care" argument applies.
