I genuinely don't want to be a dick about this -- if someone had posted a picture I was in that I utterly loathed, I would probably ask them to take it down if it was a picture of just me and them, or a few people. But if it was a big group at a special event, I would untag myself and grin and bear it.
Bah. I really don't even know.
Now that she's untagged herself, how will anyone outside of your family find it?
That's what I was thinking. I guess she just doesn't want it existing at all.
Life is hard, then other people get married. It's a cope and deal.
edit: if she bitches about it, it will only drive others to go look at it.
I do sympathize, because I pretty much hate pictures of myself. But there's no point in messing with a wedding picture. Some things transcend "I don't like how I look."

I totally get it. I mean, come on. Does anyone think that I posted *random* pictures from the wedding to FB? No. I picked the ones where I looked the best. There are some pictures of me -- seriously, the photographer gave us over 1,200 pictures -- that are so unflattering that they're comical. Of course I didn't post those. Because I have an ego and would prefer that only flattering pictures of me exist in public. I totally get not liking a picture (or *any* picture) of yourself.
But I only have one picture of my extended family, and I'm sorry my aunt doesn't like the way she looks in it, but...there are 17 other people than her in it. Just no.
Okay, it's this picture (it's a Flickr link, not a FB link, so anyone can see it): [link] No one looks bad there. My mom is making a face, but I posted that picture b/c it was the only one of the large group shot where you can see my SiL.
No one looks bad! It's a good picture!
Wow, that's bizarre. I could understand if it was like "hey, can you take that picture of you and me down, I think it's really unflattering" or "OMG, did you not notice in the picture of Tim's whole family, I'm in the background photobombing with my skirt tucked into my hose?!?", but...there is nothing objectionable about that photo.
And everyone looks happy. Happy should trump most everything.
