nobody told me getting old included this.

Sorry to chicken out on you. I had a moment of "Really? I'm posting about this?"
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Something else about getting old?
Technology that runs you over and leaves you in the dust.
It used to be that you could group a couple of things in Word and then 'save as picture.' Nearly all my logos have been made this way.
Now? Word 2011 for Mac won't let me do it!
Anyone have an idea for how I can create this in a vector without buying Photoshop?
I am about to buy the phone logo and need to now what size to buy.
Why? Why has something so simple become so fraught?!
Download the latest version of open office. Paste into open office draw. Export as SVG. Older version of open office draw did not do vectors but I think the last two or three versions do.
Reason I keep open office around. Don't like the interface as well as pre-ribbon microsoft, but quick and easy format translation.

In the spirit of good news, my singing voice has returned after just a week and a half of not smoking.
Back from urgent care. I will definitely not be racing in the New Year’s half marathon I’d signed up for; either plantar fasciitis or a torn ligament or tendon. I’ve been referred to an orthopedic surgeon for a follow up. In the meantime, crutches. Dammit.
Yikes, Pix.
Ouch Pix, I'm sorry, that's a bummer.
Ouch. Running injury or just flawed human design? I hope you have an easy recovery.
Otherwise known as What Is Happening To My Ass?!?No kidding! I will be thankful when (hopefully) this subsides (pun intended??)
The swelling feels like it's gone down since my afternoon post. I did leave work a few hours early. Got home, and fell asleep on the couch. Pain. It wears ya out, I tell you what.
Pix. Very sad. Crutch club is not something I encourage folks to join. Did you get the good kind (like I have)? Or the crappy, under arm, traditional crutches? If they gave you the old school ones, Becareful to NOT lean on them with your arm pits. Does nerve damage. Trust me. Tinglies aren't fun. And do take care of yourself. Let me know if there is something I can do to help.
Aims, very happy for you! Woot!
