This isn't a come-on. I'm in a very serious relationship with a landscape architect.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

bonny, stay safe. I have two friends who are fighting the fire. Fingerscrossed for everyone.

Oh my. Strength to your friends, Maria.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Oh, dear. Be safe, firefighters and everyone in the vicinity of the fire!

Tropical Storm Andrea! Good name I say.

Snirk. I've waited years for my own tropical storm.

bonny, I really, really wish I could swoop in, but that is just not practical. I hope your measures keep you safe.

Sending vibes for the firefighters, too.

Aw Andi, thanks.

Some pretty good friends called from across the river to get the dirt. When I talked about having trouble breathing, and being scared, the friend on the phone breezily chirped, "Hey, okay. Tell us if you hear any more news."

Thanks, Dude.

If I lived in their house, with their two cars, I'd have been across the river in minutes to collect _them_.

Ah well.

So, I promised myself that I would only get on the scale once a month, because I knew I'd get caught up in the "number". Got on the scale today, it's been 33 days since I last weighed in and I've lost 7 pounds. I will admit to being a little disappointed even though I know that a healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds a week and I'm right on track. However, I got measured again and I have lost one inch off of my waist and TWO inches off of my hips. Woo Hoo!

Good for you, Vortex!

Kick ass, girl! I'm impressed.

I managed to get to my hotel Monday night and do 50 squats and some kickbacks (on hands and knees kicking leg back), and then get up and do a tiny bit of running (like, 15 minutes) on Tuesday morning, then when I got to my other hotel Tuesday night, do 60 squats, AND get up this morning for another 15 minutes or so of running! Which is big, for me, waking up--normally I convince myself sleep is more important!! We'll see how long I can keep this up, going to try to do more squats before bed tonight.

Vortex, go you!

My headache from hell of the last couple of days turned into fever and chills last night, and my throat feels like it was attacked with sandpaper.
