Let me rephrase. The only pair of black pumps I have are black satin peep-toes with a rhinestone buckle. I need ... less party, more business-y. But still can be funky and sugar!
Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I thought that first one looked like something you might wear. Dress Barn's website often has coupons, too.
All the dresses are lovely, but the first and last that Dana linked seem perfect.
I'm amazed by how quickly the hivemind comes up with quality references. Y'all have got some skillz.
It is rare that I can ever contribute to the 'get it here' conversation, but yesterday, my MAC lady gave me a hot tip on where to buy makeup brushes...which are ridic with the expensive! She buys hers at Coastal Scents.
I bought 5 for what one would have cost anywhere else I looked.
Coastal Scents is great for makeup brushes. They also sell silica spheres powder, which is the exact same product as Make Up For Ever's HD Powder or Aromaleigh's Ultra Resolution powder.
Jilli, my foray into makeup has been a bit daunting.
I need everything matte for on-camera. I know you've said before, but could you say again which eyeliner you recommend?
I have primer, foundation, concealer and three shadows I quite like, via MAC.
My current powder, mascara and blush are cheapo, drugstore varieties...Maybelline, Revlon and The Body Shop, respectively. Lipstick is actually Avon.
I'd be glad to have all MAC stuff, but I've already dropped one and a half bills!!
My eye pencils are cheap too but I feel that particular product ought to be a good one...with proximity to the eye and all.
Tech Tip question, the aesthetition lined my lower lid _above_ the lash line, as opposed to under. I've never done that before. Is it correct?
The inside rim of the eye, you mean? You can do it, but it closes up the eye. I wouldn't do it for the camera. I quite like Lancome eyeliner.
Urban Decay 24/7 liner for pencil. Once it sets, it is set even for me.
Oddly I've had good luck with NYX liquid liner. Really affordable.

Those are the pencils I used for under my eyes. I also really like the Make Up Forever pencils.

NYX liquid liner is one of the products I always have on hand. Once it dries, it doesn't budge. In fact, NYX is a good, inexpensive line of cosmetics for just about everything. (Well, I don't know how good their foundations are, because they don't make one that matches my pale-yet-pink skin.)

Ah, they lined the waterline. It's a thing some people like to do. I don't because it can make the eyes look smaller, and because I haven't found a liner that stays on my waterline.
One of these days I need to learn how to put on liquid liner and give myself glamour eyes. Just because.
Waterline! That is the term she used.
It was super uncomfortable, and when the time came to take it off, all I could think of was...how much of that ended up in my eye?
I'm off to look at lancome, urban decay and nyx.
Thanks so much!
