Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

{{{Sean}}}

omnis gives good advice! May I add a small silly detail: take a pen with you. Having your own (working) pen means: you came ready and prepared for the job at hand (filling out forms), and the person giving you the form doesn't have to search for dang pen that works. It makes you look good.

Much ~ma to you! You can do retail, and you can do physical labor type jobs, and you're smart, so don't skip over anything thinking they wouldn't need you or you couldn't do it.

NOT silly!

Being prepared says a lot about actually wanting the job for which you are applying.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Why a photo for a warehouse worker? You are right - slightly nuts.

Because its LA and everybody has one so what the heck?

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

Actually, "Metaphysical/Spiritual" + Hollywood location (and request for photo)+ all the trappings of Christmas but without Christianity SCREAMS Scientology outfit to me.

I look into that one further, but if there's even a whiff of Scientology, well... I have to draw some lines, no matter how destitute or scared.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

God, yes. I am on board with that.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

omnis gives very good, specific advice. And the pen this is good.

That mystery wine rack that Overstock gave me last night was claimed. Neighbor. Bye, pretty bamboo wine rack, enjoy your new home. No new rack for me.

This has been the most fraught day I've had in quite some time.

The boarder/bite saga now includes a report to Animal Control, which has completely freaked out the poor owners. And, which comes suspiciously after we refused to be shaken down.

I'm sort of hoping they come to us for a statement, but given my previous experience with them, their visit will be a mere formality.

A couple more issues jumped up today and then I discovered that my beloved Niki has been in hospital all week from a Coumadin overdose brought on by improper diet.

I spoke with her in the rehab today, and she's doing okay, but UGH.

Coumadin is scary, bonny. I was on it for a while. ~ma to Niki.

Thanks, Zen. It is no joke, for sure. She said the pain was worse than she's ever felt. This, from the woman who just had her sternum sawed open less than 3 months ago.

Yikes.

I'm just frazzled from carrying anxiety for roughly a dozen people over the last two days.

I've got the power, but the cost to my system is high.
