We've been planing to get married for a while, wanted to do it up right in Washington, D's home state. But times being what they are we just couldn't wait any longer and got it done in front of a very nice judge today while his secretary took pictures on D's cell phone (have not managed to get them uploaded yet). Other than God showing up at the ceremony uninvited the day has been great. Stopped off for a bottle of cava (Spanish Bubbly) and played Lego Marvel Heroes until the landlord called to offer to buy us dinner so now D is out having a smoke with him and I am contemplating changing out of my "prom" dress and stockings.
I'm thinking about buying something very expensive. Maybe an antelope.

Had a parent meeting the other day with one parent that is white and another that is black because the white kid is making/using racial terms and generally being a dick. The white mother, who I will judge and label as white trash, spent the majority of the meeting talking about how she's raised 6 kids, threw one of them in juvie, isn't afraid of punishing her kids, intimating that because our principal doesn't have children, she (the principal) is unqualified to talk about how parents can (should) support their kids at home with the values of the school, and how her kids are more afraid of her than her ginormous husband.
But what I'm really struggling with is choosing my favorite ridiculous claim of hers. That there is "NO WAY IN HELL" she can be racist - her GODSON IS BLACK!! or that her high school son's friends call her a MILF ALL THE TIME.
Effing parents.
