So, I knocked one of my favorite earrings down the drain when I was getting ready for work yesterday. Luckily, I was done with the sink portion of my ablutions, so I just shut off the water to the sink and declared it off limits for the day. Borrowed a pipe wrench from the maintenance guys at work. When I got home I went to work on the u-bend. First pipe collar unscrews no problem. Start working on the second one, and the pipe it was attached to was so corroded it just snapped off in my hands. Called for a plumber to come in today and the estimate's over $500. Suddenly wishing I lived in an apartment.
At least I got the earring back?
