Bonny, try wax paper.
Genius! I have a roll of wax paper I never use. HA!! Thank you.
Cheers on the good wish as well.
I've been doing the Shaun Achor happiness ritual for 41 days and I'm loving it. I actually look forward to that being the last thing I do each day. I am sleeping somewhat better and even though I'm facing two enormously scary financial things, I find I have the energy and calm to face them.
One thing that totally bummed me out the other day was finding out that Speck really is dead now. He apparently attacked two MORE people, so they put him down. I'm not sure why, but I just wept and wept. Somehow, knowing him and then knowing he is not in the world anymore...and that he never really had a chance...just overcame me.
Other than that, though, I'm doing well.
I have coloring books! And colored pencils and crayons. I like crayons better. Avengers coloring book, you say?
Oh yes. 400 pages: [link] (Only I bought it at Target for $4.99. I have no idea why it's $35 on Amazon. Sheesh. Maybe I should re-sell it. Wait...NOPE.)
Muahahahaha. Sephora emailed me with news that one of the limited edition rewards available at my 'beauty point' level was a gift set of Theirry Mugler Angel products, AND that the foundation I'd been wanting was back in stock. Yes, send these things to me.
I've gone back to wearing Angel -APPLIED VERY LIGHTLY- after over a decade of not. I have finally accepted that every BPAL turns into some sort of vanilla amber on me, except for my two Holy Grails from them that are no longer made. Plus, I still really like Angel.
400 PAGES?!
Merciful heavens. That'll keep you busy.
Hey, did I say? I put up the chalkboard vinyl I mentioned a while back in the kitchen and I love it! It was super easy to install and, with a damp cloth, its easier to clean than expected.
Since my kitchen is accessorized in black and white, it fits right in.
Finally, a cause I can get behind (xkcd):

sits back to wait for kerfuffle
The problem for me, is that I don't really care if it is 1 space or two after a period. However, because I took old school typing classes from age 14-18, I cannot get rid of the habit of 2 spaces. It is a hard habit to break. I use TextExpander to autocorrect it.
Yeah, we actually did get the occasional manuscript (and by "manuscript," I mean Word doc) with a line break at the end of every line (not sentence). As if it were typed on a typewriter. And when we asked the author to reformat it and remove the extra line breaks, they replied "I do not understand what you mean by 'extra line breaks'."
Every once in a while I sincerely can't believe the shit someone pulls, and that was one of them. I can't imagine how much of a pain in the ass it must be to write a long-ass medical article (we're talking 25-30 pages at least) and hit Return at the end of every line.
As for the rest of the xkcd, my feelings on number of spaces after a period are well-established, and go hand-in-hand with the fact that this is 2013 and no one uses monospace type anymore. (Though, to be fair, there are few things as satisfying as doing a find-and-replace on all those fucking fucking double spaces and changing them to single spaces.)
(And I'm hard-pressed to think of any style guide that uses 2 spaces. CMOS, MLA, APA, and AMA use a single space.)
Tep, that's what I do. It is easier for me to do a find and replace than unlearn the 2 spaces.

I actually enjoyed getting manuscripts with 2 spaces, because then I could run the find/replace. So satisfying. Like clearing 4 rows in Tetris.
