erin,
not sure if you are in a position to do this, but have you tried acupuncture? I am wondering if in your circumstance, it might help you.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Beth, I'm so sorry.
Erin, I hope you get resolution and relief soon.
Go bonny! I hope it works out well.
Urp, I may have just gotten a mortgage preapproval to buy a house in PA. It won't be finalized until tomorrow, but this may happen.
I'll worry about the house in Frederick later. I'm confident I can rent it out, but when bad shit starts happening in 2 years (mortgage jumps--we did a 10 year interest only), I guarantee nothing. Kinda why I want to buy now.
Congratulations Fred and Maria. Go team homeowners!
Thanks for the good thoughts everyone.
The meeting was good...and a bit frustrating. Very, very briefly, I have been approached about doing a web show. I made a demo that was not very good, but whenever I am in the studio, talking to the producers, I 'sparkle'(their word). They clearly enjoy our conversations but have yet to say, 'let's do it.'
They want me to do another demo and would like me to perform toward a "hook". Heavy on the word 'performance.'
I get it. There is huge competition for people's eyeballs and as much as I want to share ideas that I've seen actually change people's lives, if I don't do it in a provocative way, I may never get traction with an audience.
Now I need to recruit volunteers to be my guests both in my office and via skype.
If it turns out these producers are not ultimately interested, I'll do it myself either as a vlog or podcast.
I want this SO much.
bonny, that sounds wonderful!
Thanks, Anne. I honestly think it will be great fun. It's just getting folks to participate.
I'm a keen one for veracity, but the producer would prefer that I tell 'stories' that are more entertaining than actual cases...even to the extent of using celebrity stories as case studies.
Celebrities.
Not my preference, so I've got to figure out a way to make it work...or find an even more interesting hook.
yay bonny! I put your 'ma in the wrong thread, but hopefully it landed your way.
Beth, I'm so sorry. {{beth and Matt}}
I'm sorry, beth
Ginger, thank you so much for those links, both actually sound very relevant and It's so empowering to be able to bring more ideas to the table when I meet with my PCP on Friday. Maybe the PT will be helpful, and if I keep my fingers crossed maybe there'll even be a cancellation in the next few weeks, waiting is so miserable.
And LeNubian, yes, I've been doing accupuncture (most recently this afternoon.) The one downside to the group accupunture where I go ($65 for 5 sessions, can't beat the price) is that since it's done on recliners in a group environment there's no clothing removal (beyond shoes and socks) so no poking in the abdominal area.
All sympathies, Burrell and family.
