this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

And I'd be happy to proxy sit people down so brides and grooms don't have to deal with teh stupid like that.

Okay. I've got an address for you.

And etiquette about stuff like that is always such a minefield anyway. Like is the person sending an invite all "Man, we love and miss you," or are they trolling for gifts?

Well, TBH, we aren't legally married. We don't actually even LIKE each other. We just wanted gifts SO HARD.

Steph, that disgruntled lady was actually on the list of people you'd invite if you had room? I imagine for any future festivities, she won't be on the list at all. What a pill.

Word. If you'd like to be an even BIGGER asshole you could tag on, "looks like we made the right call here."

Man, I am SO thinking about it.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

It would not occur to me to act that way. We were once invited at the last minute to a wedding- because enough people said that they couldn't come. I was thrilled that they thought of us when they had room.

I figure most people have budgets.

I never want one of those cakes

I kind of love this.

We spent the day cleaning and cooking. Cooking because we're both sick of produce dying in the fridge before we get to it, and cleaning because theoretically I'm having guests over in a week and my house is beyond a mess. The guests are theoretical because there is still a chance that my fertility treatment schedule will interfere with my social schedule.

TCG refinished and old table he had, and it looks great. It has plenty of character in that it is old and has scratches and dents that couldn't be sanded out, but the new finish is really nice.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

That's awesome. Good for you for having a productive weekend.

I sat on a heating pad for a couple of hours and then took an epsom salt bath while reading a Dresden Files book. The combo took my pain down by about 75%, so I need to do that more often. Also, amazing how much more energy and less anxiety I have when I'm not in pain.

Today was productive at least. Yesterday we went to a play and used a groupon that was about to expire to go to dinner.

ION, I'm having no bad side effects from the clomid, which is a HUGE relief because I had really been worried.

The status is NOT quo.

Oh sj, I'm so glad to hear that!

Thanks, Pix! I actually sort of feel like they're helping my anxiety. I feel weirdly calm today. I wonder what that means wrt the biological causes of my anxiety if it is really helping and not just in my head.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

glad to hear the clomid is treating you well, sj.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Glad for relief for sj and smonster.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Oh yeah. Once a work friend was giving me the awkward very late invitation I just grinned and said, "You know a million people. I live right here. I'm perfect for a B-list and psyched I get to go."

Try not to be dbags, people, at least try.
