Also, you can tell it's not gonna have a happy ending when the main guy's all bumpy.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Don't you love the calls that start with "Mom, I wasn't involved and I'm fine..."

That's a good way to start it, though! He's keeping himself out of the danger zone so you don't have a mama bear flipout--just the concerned adult for friends which involves less of a transformation into a befanged beast of revenge and anger.

They must feel awful--the rescuers having to rescue themselves, and over a small thing like not maintaining proper distance. I wonder if they're getting mortality shakes on top of everything. Poor kids and the adults involved.

Restoring the computer is...interesting and might just take the rest of my goddamn life. But it's the best choice.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I just talked to my co-chair and found out that her son (A) was in the front car. The kid (D)who was the center of the promotion drama (didn't get the position he felt he deserved which went to A) was the driver of the car that hit the pole. Haven't heard more on injuries.

Just knowing who the two drivers were means the drama is going to increase exponentially. D is a jerk who takes no personal responsibility for anything, so I can only imagine that this will all be A's fault. A could have been driving like the best driver ever or been hanging his ass out a window, it doesn't matter - from what I'm hearing, D didn't allow himself enough stopping room. The sad side is that I've been driven by A and he is a so-so driver. Add testosterone and animosity...they are lucky it could have been so much worse.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Suzi, so glad he's okay and I hope any injuries are quickly healed.

So I've got SAD kicking in and PMS piling on, just as yet another semi-promising guy from OKC turns out to have no chemistry for me (or vice versa). What a terrible alphabet soup it's making. Wish I had one of my Bitches here to pet my hair and snuggle me. I'd make popcorn and we could watch Ginger Snaps Back.

So very much feel your pain. Have been on several chemistry-less okcupid dates lately. Ugh. Thinking I should get my glow light thing out, too. I like the grey here but it's hard sometimes.

Meara, I read your post too fast and was trying to get connect okcupid dates with a glow light and got really lost. Maybe I'm not getting dates cause I don't have a glow light. Then I reread. Ok, back to getting no dates cause I put no effort in.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I'm glad CJ is safe. Hopefully the drama will resolve itself. Even better, hopefully, D will go on to learn a bit better driving skills.

smonster and meara, do please take care of yourselves. The glows will help you.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

You know, I never thought I'd say this, but I am so fucking tired of beer.

Looks like no broken limbs, one broken nose, and one bruised lung. There were five of them in a huge extended cab truck. The kind that has the half doors that open once you open the front doors. Well, the truck is "beyond totaled". All five boys were pulled out through one of the rear windows (by CJ). The lead vehicle was an Ambulance once (it is now their communications vehicle), which stopped at the start of a yellow instead of trying to get through (we have LONG yellow lights in CO). The second vehicle, the truck, swerved to the side, tips a bit at the shoulder, and hit a telephone pole at about 30 mph - deploying the airbags. Three more team cars were behind that. All pulled over, the team jumped out and got to work getting them out of the truck, handling vitals and providing first aid until the ambulances showed up.

Everyone is rattled. One of the girls in the last car feels it is her fault cause she lost CJ's gloves so they spent time looking for them, delaying the start back to HQ. A, who was driving the ex-ambulance, feels at blame because he maybe could have pushed through the yellow light. I'm sure others have their woulda-coulda thoughts too.
