Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

(laughing)

erin, I'm such a dweeb, I was like: WTF is wrong with a brownie? I love chocolate!

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

LOL, i would never take any drug that meant I couldn't eat chocolate!!! I guess I feel the need to be a bit sly, what with my workplace being fully allowed to monitor everything I do while near the building. Pretty sure my home is more than far enough away to allow for the occasional foray into special baked goods. Especially when none of the RX drugs were doing jack shit for sleep. When even ambien stops working....sigh. Depressing pain/insomnia/hate/misery spiral of body loathing. But valium. Ok. we'll keep trying that till the surgical consult at the end of the month. Current best theory is organ adhesions from all the past ovarian cysts and endometriosis, or a femoral hernia. Seriously, a hernia. Aren't those for old men? Apparently neither of those can be ruled out with imaging. *fingers still crossed for non-surgical pain resolution*. I keep telling myself that if i can just break the pain/insomnia loop for a day or two it'll all soon be an unpleasant memory. Pleaseohplease.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I hope the combo works and you have a non-surgical resolution, e_o.

I've started taking melatonin for insomnia. 5mg puts me to sleep, but I wake up at 3. Since I don't have to be anywhere tomorrow morning, I'm gonna give 10 mg a try tonight.

ND, I hope you have a more reasonable schedule soon.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

erin, even if you ate a crapload of brownies and took 1 valium you wouldn't die. I'd say try 1/2 and 1/2, and if that's not happy-sleep making, 1 valium and 1/4.

I obvs don't recommend eating a pan of brownies, but pot and 1 pill will be fine; I'd be more leery of mixing booze and pills, or upping the pill dosage.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

We got to the airport EARLY. It might be the end of days. Of course, Tim got 1 hour of sleep and I got 4. But our flight goes to LAX first, so it's a long enough flight for us to nap. Yay Ativan.

Teppy is on her honeymoon (said in a sing-song way).

I slept like crap. Woke up from a freaky dream that included a cricket almost the size of my cat. WTF?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Teppy is on her honeymoon!

I dreamed of cutting off the ends of my fingers, and I was all cheerful about it. WTF, dreams?

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Safe and wonderful travels, Teppy and Tim!

My neck and shoulders are so tight and achy, it woke me up last night. Forturnately I woke up when Daniel was still up after coming home from work and he was able to massage them enough that I could get back to sleep. But here I am again, and he's asleep.

I will be happy when the schedule slows down to the point where I'm not working 20 hour days.

Whoa, yeah, that sounds hard core. Good luck, Noise Design. I can't imagine.

Of course, I got very little sleep two nights in a row, in Sioux City (the second night, someone upstairs would not stop walking around, grr...and then I had to be up at 5AM central time). Got home yesterday at 2pm, thought "OMG must NAP"...and didn't get out of bed again until morning. That was a bit ridiculous. Also, now my back hurts. My bed is nice, but not that nice! Luckily I didn't have anything that desperately needed doing, but I also could've used some of that time...

Our wings are not tired.

I'm anxiously awaiting getting an extra hour. But I think I have to wait another month. I hate this getting up in the dark thing.
