Giles: I jump out of the circle, jump back in, and, and, shake my gourd. Buffy: Hey, I think I know this ritual. The ancient shamans were next called upon to do the Hokey-Pokey and to turn themselves around.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Jebus. You dad didn't used to be a wackaloon. I'm sorry he's gone this route and embroiled you all in such crap.

Yeah. He also used to be married to my mother, who, as my youngest brother put it, knew how to compensate for his blind spots.

My older brother's caused more than his share of trouble, but he doesn't deserve this latest strife.

And I guess this specific family drama will create even more family drama "fun" in the future, so my ~mas and thoughts are with you and your family.

While I think it would be counterproductive overall, there is some small part of me that thinks it would be hilarious if my brother sued my dad's wife over this.

Anyway. Thanks to the family circles, my brother is at least getting some competent legal advice. I doubt there's much to be done (beyond my stepbrother being banned from the pub in question - his sister works there, by the by), but there's a police report and my brother is talking to the right people.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Best wishes for bt's brother, and hoping for a good recovery and (when the time comes) a good physical therapist. Stepbrother sounds like a piece of work, and no comment on father.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Oh billytea, I'm so sorry. It's not pleasant any way you slice it when it's family that inflicts the damage.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

These things are fun to fantasize about, though.

Sorry for all the mishegas.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Sorry about the family stuff, billytea.

I am very glad that I don't have to teach on Thursdays. In addition to everything else that's been going wrong with my body the past few weeks, now my sinuses are also acting up.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Oh, man, bt, family drama is the worst. Wishing for best outcome. Also kinda-sorta wishing for your stepbrother to fall down a flight of stairs, but that's mean, so I won't mention it.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

bt,

I think your family now qualifies for a primetime Australian tv drama.

(shaking my head) your poor brother. I don't know what "Panadeine Forte" this is, but it sounds like a rare coral that is used for medicinal purposes.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

bt, wow. I'm sorry about all the family drama.

It's library bookstore night. There are people here, but so far no one is buying anything.

That's a tough one. The guy's mental health problems are real, and he's been institutionalised more than once. Gareth's actually fairly understanding on that score. (Still regards him as a menace, though, and I'd have to agree.)
