Mal: Yeah, well, just be careful. We cheated Badger out of good money to buy that frippery, and you're supposed to make me look respectable. Kaylee: Yes, sir, Captain Tightpants.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I drilled the lady about concussion symptoms and will check in on her tomorrow. I suspect pain will be a constant for a while. Turns out, she is volunteering in a hospital tomorrow. Hopefully, someone will follow up with her. That bruise on her face is going to be EPIC.

Steph, that look is perfect. I'm going to vote for exactly that much pouf...and I'll tell you why. My neck is not my favorite part...actually, no parts are favored at the moment, but when my hair dresser takes the back of my hair and poufs it up, it improves my feelings about my profile dramatically.

Given the length of your hem, and the low cut nature of the bodice, I'm going to bet that, when you are in it, the pouf will not seem high at all. Balance!

Really poufy...like Texas style pouf...Sarah Palin pouf...is actually visible from the front. This style is not and the back is just lovely. It's great that you have enough length to accomplish that.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

At least 30. But wedding hair demands extra security, so probably 50.

Hm. I'm betting closer to 55 bobby pins.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Okay, actually only 23. I guess the "less than 100" skewed it.

No, from the front it really is visible. The one picture taken from the front was just from that above-the-head-looking-up-at-the-camera Facebook angle. Trust me, there was poof.

23?

Wow. That is some dexterity with the metal your hairdresser has. If I were attempting that myself, I'd set off metal detector a mile away.

Standing by my stance on pouf, on this one occasion.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Pretty pretty hair, Teppy! And I, of course, am all for poof.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Yay, Jilli! That sounds like fun.

I am so full! The soup came out great, as did the salad.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Holy cow, I just took out the bobby pins holding my poofy hair up. How many, do you guys think? Bet now! Bet now! Bet now!

In weddings I have been in, the bridesmaids have a contest to see who has the most bobby pins the next morning (clearly, we are too drunk/tired to deal with it the night of).

I like the hair, and would t worry about too much poof. As the night wears on, the hair will go down, and then you won't have flat hair :)
