Usually, Hec, I'm impressed by your ability to have blended your family so well.Mine certainly did not go like that, but as my mother says, divorce is a strong word, there are definitely not-chill times. But mostly y'all make it look easy.
It's work. It's hard work to keep the friction away from Emmett. And mostly we get along fine and work together and don't indulge in petty bullshit. But it requires so much effort to keep it on keel sometimes.
And like I said, it gets raw in a hurry. And like your mom said, divorce is a strong word.
Hey Aims, I wanted to comment on this from yesterday:
I don't know why, but the last bit is bugging the crap out of me. I know there are lots of Christians who are assholes and do things not even related a teeny bit to Good Works, tolerance, love, charity, etc. But not all of them are and ... I don't know. Maybe I'm just predisposed to being annoyed by them because they poke at me about my Faith all. the. time.
I swear those two just like grinding axes. Did you know that they were one of the bigger reasons I left Michigan? They just like to poke, and I was tired of it.
Preach, brutherman. They are a large part of why we talk about leaving again.

Can you tell them to get stuffed without leaving the state? It seems a shame to let "friends" drive you away.

Yeah, no kidding. That's ridiculous.

On the other hand, Eastern Pennsylvania is beautiful.
It's complicated, but for the most part, we aren't hanging out with them as often as we used to.
Hey, All.
Just checking in - 2 days in a row, *gasp*!
Funny thing, I received an email this morning with a "Lisa Hardin" in the chain of forwards. I got all excited for Buffista connectedness for a second until I recognized that "d" is not "b".
ETA: lisah, if that is too close to having a RL name up, I'll take it down.
