Thrive to spite them

Jilli that sucks!

Also YAY Aimee for a good start to the yard sale.

Pix I hope the CU treats you well.

I worked an extra shift today and checked my bank account to figure out how much I have left until I get my replacement check (since I screwed up direct deposit). But I checked my account and the money is there! I don't know what happened but I'm going to call the coprorate office Monday to let them know I got the money and fix my direct deposit. Maybe they just hold it until Friday instead of releasing it on Thursday.

Also met with the mobile home park manager and I'm a go for moving in. I really need to get busy packing and making phone calls about various things.

Yippee! That's great news, Askye!

Jilli, tons of hugs for ya. Hopefully this door closing opens a great big window to a bigger/better/cooler/funner job.

Pix, waiting is the hardest part. I hope it all works out. And Boo has diabetes? What the hell? Poor lil thing.

Aims, that sounds like a very successful day! Woot! I hope tomorrow is equally great. Sounds like well worth the effort. And think how much less stuff you have to pack.

The status is NOT quo.

Yay askye! That's good news!

Omnis, sorry about job stress and aggravation.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

And think how much less stuff you have to pack.

That's the prize I keep in my mind. Because whatever does not sell today get put to the curb for free and whatever is left my Wednesday morning, gets picked up by Purple Heart. And then we get boxes starting Monday and the packing can begin in earnest.

Which part of me says, "YAY!" and part of me says, "NO! RUN AWAY!"

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm having a very frustrating, why can't my body just do what it is supposed to do, mornings. My stomach is freaking out again, and I am supposed to be leaving for G's birthday party any minute now. He's going to be very upset if I don't show up.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Calm~ma to your stomach, sj. Bodies are so very troublesome sometimes.

Had a bit of a freakout last night - I have to remember to plan something social for Friday nights. Broke, restless, and lonely is a BAD combo. Feeling better this morning: I've had breakfast, done dishes, taken the Frankster to Doggies and Donuts, and am washing my sheets. Now to do some work and keep plugging away at my to do list.

meara - Aug 17, 2013 7:33:48 am PDT #3408 of 30002

I can't figure out what to do today. I don't have any urgent errands that I can think of, and no plans at all. I'd like to be social, but nobody is getting back to me. Boo. I suppose I could clean my office, but even that isn't all that exciting sounding. Hrm.

What does one do on a Saturday with no plans?

I got a friend coming over this evening. We are going to watch Dark Side of the Rainbow (Thanks Laga!). And he has Time Warner, and is a few weeks behind on Dexter, so we will watch those as well. So I'm cleaning/tidying now. One load of laundry in the washer. Sheets/towels next. Just finished tidying the bathroom. Well. To be honest, that was a to-do item not needed for company, but one I've needed to do since I moved in. Mom put the shelf liner in the drawers, but couldn't figure out how to put the drawers back in the cabinet the right way. So, finally fixed those, and reorganzied them and medicine cabinet. Next is the dishes. Then food shopping. So by the time friend comes over, I'll probably be exhausted, and fall asleep during the movie. Ha.

Meara, sometimes no plans is more fun. Then I just lazy around the house. But, I'm a bit more introverted than you, so I love alone time.

Yeah, I get plenty of alone time. I think I decided I'm going to paint my living room. I've had test swatches up for at least six months. Time to do something about it. ...as soon as I get up off the couch. Yep. Maybe after some more food, too.

Ooo! If you are in the painting mood, I could use some help doing touch ups. ... Yeah, didn't think so. Took me a good 6 months to paint the closet doors. So much work for paint, what with the drop clothes, tape out, paint, tape off, clean up. Blah.
