My sister just asked me what does LOL mean. She thought it meant Lots of love. Never understood why all these people were telling her they loved her.
facepalm When did my sister become my mother?
'Time Bomb'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

My poor Cagney.
He has thrown up 13 times today.
We went to the vet, whom Cagney LOVED. The vet exclaimed, "I can't make out with you. You've been puking all day! We'll have to make out on another day, dude!"
They gave him injections of Pepcid and an anti-nausea medication, but it doesn't seem to have worked.
The doc said they would not waste my money on xrays because Cagney's vitals are good and he has a ton of energy. But, I'm worried because he is obviously uncomfortable...despite not reacting at all when the doc palpated his belly.
The doc suggested that at about 3am, we are likely to have problems from the other end.
Joy. I'm nearly out of Nature's Miracle and I fear I won't get any sleep. Fretting is not helping Cagney, but I feel so powerless.
Harvey's best purr vibes for Cagney's tummy.
Oh, poor sick Cagney! No fun, for either of you.
(I suspect Kato secretly likes getting sick, because he knows it means he gets rice with blanched chicken.)

That is how I knew we had to go to the vet.
I spoke to the early in the day and they suggested boiled chicken. I let his tummy rest for a few hours and gave him about 3 tablespoons.
He kept that down for a few hours. Success, I thought.
But, no. When it came time for his supper, he refused to eat it.
Cagney. Not eating.
Cue Bill Murray. "Cats and dogs, living together...MASS HYSTERIA."
He just keeps getting up and moving around. Stretching one of his legs behind him and just generally moping.
I dragged him out for a walk this evening and he threw up in the street.
I turned on the a/c for him and am wondering if I should leave him out of his crate to sleep...but that seems like a bad plan. Maybe if he is confined, he'll sleep out of boredom, if not comfort. If he DOES get sick again, I have materials ready for at two bed changes.
Poor boy.
Do you have a tarp and old towels? Maybe line the bathroom and have him sleep there? He can move if he needs to, but still bored enough to sleep.

Will he stay in the crate with the door left open? That way he could vacate the crate if he has to throw up, but otherwise can snuggle up in his den.
Poor Cagney and poor bonny! I hope that whatever it is has worked its way out of his system and he'll be fine tomorrow.
Glam, they are so super cute.
I am feeling a little better today, if still kind of murderous towards my boss and the universe in general. I know I shouldn't judge my insides against others' outsides, but it was graduation this weekend and there seemed to be an awful lot of well-to-do parents and college kids swanning about the commercial strip where I was sweating my ass off, many of them freely staring at us while we worked. And inside I was resenting them all for being at leisure. Really, gotta work on my zen. This whole bitter hag thing is not good for me.
Oh GC, Ford is such a cutie! And I love love love that photo of him sleeping. Utterly scrumptuous.
hugs to you, smonster
Always nice to see your pixels, Cindy.
The news coming out about the tornado provides yet another reminder that, despite how trying the last few weeks have been, my situation could be so very much worse right now.
