Thanks, guys. I'm pretty much taking it easy today. I've got enough prepared food that I don't need to cook, and I'm working on some GISHWHES stuff that doesn't require much moving. (There are two math-related items, both of which make NO DAMN SENSE, so I'm trying to put together some good "this makes no damn sense" entries.) I might try some video editing next, although I don't really know what I'm doing. If I screw it up too badly, the original files will still exist.

We have a dance concert today. ABT comes in every summer and does a month long summer intensive, then hold a recital to show all the hard work the little dancers have done. Fun. We had an all day rehearsal on Wednesday. Went great. Had all day yesterday to do any notes, and what not. No problem. We run some notes this morning to coordinate the lights and sound. Perfect. Then we are all set and ready to go, 25 minutes before the house opens, and they say "can we get a mic for the curtain speech?". Really? You ask that, NOW? Run to the workshop in the other building, get mic and cables. Run back. Quickly set the cable up. Run back up to the mixer to dial it in. Yes, we got it up and running in 24 minutes. NO, I am not happy. Heart rate is racing from the adrenaline. Harshing my calm. Do people not know what a tech rider is anymore??!!?? I could have done this yesterday. I could have made it look real pretty. Heck, I could have given them a nice wireless mic, so no cables at all. Ugg. It's Friday, right?
