I can see her not contacting you because she may just ave gotten home from dinner and she doesn't want to bother you this late.

Oh no. I had to wait for my prescription, which I need to take with food. I could not imagine cooking, so I walked to the closest restaurant to order take out. It just so happened to be the restaurant where she was having dinner.

I was so tired and on the verge of tears, I really didn't know what to say when she came over with one of her friends...who I also know.

She did not offer to pick up my dinner and his contribution was, "How could he have bitten you on BOTH arms! That can't happen."

You have every right to be upset. Tomorrow or the day after, when you have the spoons to deal, you need to hand her a copy of the ER bill and let her know that her cavalier attitude may have cost her your friendship. Something way more priceless.
