Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Aims, Pix, ND, Sean, I'm sorry for all the crappy news. That really sucks.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Aims, you'd be an awesome teacher.

brillig

Aims, when you said you didn't have the means to move, is there something you haven't mentioned that needs dealt with?

Our wings are not tired.

Hey bt! We are so rarely here awake at the same time. It's like you are on the other side of the globe!

How is your MIL? If there was an update on her health concern I missed it. Does she have to go back for treatment or is all okay?

Pix - Aug 13, 2013 6:24:46 pm PDT #3124 of 30002
The status is NOT quo.

BT, yes, I've been wondering how your MiL is doing. I hope better.

My comfort food tonight was Annie's Mac 'n Cheese. Yum.

My other comfort was in taking action. ND (combined with everyone else's positive and helpful posts) pulled me up out of the doldrums and inspired me to go with him to the local credit union he'd been researching. We are in the process of applying for a business line of credit that would make a HUGE difference in our ability to cope with our finances. If it looks like it will go through, we will pull all finances from BoA immediately and switch to this new bank.

ETA: already the massive difference between BoA and this credit union: we spoke to one of the people who will make the decision today and will likely have an answer this week. Take THAT, evil bank from hell!

Our wings are not tired.

Financial relief and freedom from BoA sounds even better than mac 'n cheese, and that is saying a lot.

Ugh, I am so sorry my wonderful people are having such rough times right now.

Also, I love that we are there for each other. This community has shown me people being there for each other for a dozen years now. On crazy stressful days like today, for me, and for others, it is an oasis of comfort. Thank you.

Needed repeating. Yes it did.

Oh, fingers crossed for you Pix! And Aimee, I hope the light of a new day makes things seem less hopeless. I can't imagine, four months to go and you have to quit?

And everyone else too. Big hugs. Or not hugs. As the case may be.

The status is NOT quo.

You aren't kidding. It's funny--I was so caught up on the fact that a credit union couldn't get us a refi on an out of state property that it didn't occur to me that a credit union MIGHT actually take a chance on a line of credit for a small business like Drew's. It won't consolidate our bad debt, but it will allow us to pay down that debt a lot faster and take away the massive stress of "will we have enough to make payroll this week?"

Trying not to get my hopes up.

Yay, for Credit Unions!
