Completely true! I've known so many parents that have had the high maintenance kid turn angelic for the grandparent or stranger. Still blows my mind when other parents say how helpful my kids are with picking up and rinsing dishes or whatever. Who! What! My kid!
He was deaf, so he wasn't prone to endless barking
So sorry about the loss of Seabiscuit. I feel like I know so many Buffista pets that I haven't met! I've had and known a few pets that went deaf in their later years. It really seemed to help with their anxiety more than it hindered them. Really they didn't seem to notice at all, but no more fear of fireworks and thunder!
Today and tomorrow may be our last cold front of the season. Only 65F at 8AM!! (80s later) But am I outside taking advantage? No, I am on my computer!

Oh I just love it when my staff call me at home to report on an injury of unknown origin on a Saturday morning, name a coworker (whom they do not cross paths with except at staff meetings) as being suspect, and then say "I didnt think of that, I didn't mean to cast aspersions" when I point out that it will be Monday before I can ask the day program if anything happened while the person was there.
No. Yeah you did mean to cast aspersion. And then you pretend not to know what to do to report suspected abuse while lecturing me on making sure to take photos of the bruising.
I know this isn't right, and I was ever so fond of kicking a little demon ass, but I am ready to get naked.
So I am saying goodbye to this thread and starting the new one. Really I have to get to work doing other stuff and don't want it to run out when I am not here!
