I'm not sure how old he is, but I heard him use the word 'newfangled' one time, so he's gotta be pretty far gone.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

And in the side garden

Lovely photo, and yes I see it's a Buddha... but did anyone else immediately think of Weeping Angels? Anyone?

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I can see how the somber mood and the lighting could remind you of the Weeping Angels, Callaluna.

It is somber, the last of the purple bell blossoms are still clinging on the vine. I expect they won't survive the night.

Thrive to spite them

It's beautiful.

I am sitting in the parking lot at work at 4:15 am because the manager who is supposed to open the store isn't here. We were supposed to start at 4 am.

I'm in my car and the guy I work with is parked next to me. It's cold and I'm wondering when she is going to get here.

It's nowinter after 6 am and we are still waiting for someone to show up. Anot her associate who started at 6 is here waiting.

I don't have the numbers for any management but the other guy does and he's sent 2 texts. I think at 630 he's actually going to call.

We don't get paid for any of this which really sucks.

Our wings are not tired.

No, the manager that screwed up needs to put in an exception to payroll with a 4 AM start time. You were at work.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Yeah, if manager doesn't adjust your times, it would be appropriate to take it up with corporate.

We are getting paid for the 3 1/2 hours we waited. Others waited 1/2 hour to 1 1/2 hours.

The supervisor over slept by a lot and the manager didn't get the first texts so it worked out. But I was tired and hungry you the time we started and had planned to eat breakfast around the time we got in the store.

The supervisor was super embarrassed. The manager was nice.

I learned my coworker...the guy...comes to work stoned every day. Evidently the manager is aware of this. Considering how much work the guy gets done I'm not complaining.

Went to group after and it was ok. We are going on break for the holidays.

I have a friend that I call the most productive stoner I have ever met. He is pretty amazing with his work ethic, people management skills, and he is a BOMB chef. He is the one who took me "shopping" my first time.

Yes, I know super productive stoners too. Not me, I am a super lazy stoner. I am quite jealous of those that can get shit done in that condition.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

One of my good friends was superchronic until her company started testing their execs this year. She is just the most efficient workhorse of a person I've ever known.

I waver between watch TV and eat all the cookies to being really inspired to do things like baking, decorating, and weird but useful cleaning projects, like magic erasering all the cabinet doors and baseboards.

I wish it was legal in our state, because it is much more efficient of a muscle relaxer for me than Rx muscle relaxer pills. Everything cracks and pops and lengthens, and my eternal tension headaches vanish. I'm jealous of states where tinctures and creams specifically aimed at muscle aches and anxiety are available.
