Peeks in thread...
Skipped a ton.
Got a day off. Decided I would use the time to visit urgent care, to see if they can explain my rinse/repeat symptoms of aches/pains, low grade fever. Fever pops during the night. A few days later, repeat.
It's not ear infections. Whew (says the sound guy).
Since symptoms include fever, they have me in a mask. Keeps fogging up my glasses.
No ~ma needed. Just bored and want answers. Waiting is the hardest part.
Hi, omnis! It's good to see you post. I'm sorry you're not feeling well.
We miss you around here O-A! I hope they discover what you have soon and it's easy to fix.
I finally had my appointment with the new rheumatologist today. I like her a lot. She actually listened to me, and she sent me for some x-rays and blood work, and referred me to an OT to help with my hand, and will probably refer me to a foot and ankle specialist once she sees my x-rays, because she agrees with me that it seems like I'm getting early-onset osteoarthritis in my ankle and possibly my hand. Also got a painkiller prescription with no issues.
So glad to hear that, Hil.
I'm relieved for you, Hil.
omnis, always good to see you. I hope they have you on the mend soon.
My accomplishment today: teaching my therapist (who is 2 years younger than me, so I feel like she should be culturally savvy enough to know this) the term "dumpster fire." When I told her about the felt 2016 dumpster fire Christmas ornament you can make, she was gleeful. "I LOVE to craft with felt!" she said.
I told her it was a useful descriptive term for Trump, and she said "I don't think that goes far enough." She's good people. (Even if she makes me deal with hard stuff.)
She actually listened to me
If only this were the norm. I am so relieved to hear she is a good one.
They listened to me breathe, checked my ears, asked a bunch of questions, stole fluids from me, and sent me home with an appointment for 2 weeks. My favorite part was the discharge sheet says I should quit smoking, despite me telling them I haven't smoked since 1988. Not sure we have the greatest healthcare in the world. Meh.
