I talked with the vet about "making the decision" and she said if Miss Kitty loses down to 5 lbs, that would be a bad place for her. But if she can put on some weight and is able to get around, even if it takes her some work, we should be ok for a while longer. I've never actually had to make that choice with any of my other pets. When my dog, Honey, was no longer able to move her hind end and just sat there whimpering, CJ was a wee tot so my mom took Honey to the vet. All the other cats I've had were when I was younger and they were my mom's pets.
Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I'm sorry, Suzi.
Feel better, Hil.
Calm~ma, Smonster.
ltc is completely miserable for the second day in a row. I finally got her to take a nap just now. I think it's teething, since she's not feverish. I'm exhausted.
Maybe just give her the people food she wants?
You eat pretty healthy, don't you? Consider skipping the specific cat-toxic items and letting her go to town?

I try to eat healthy and I do share with her when she is particularly interested. I need to look into what she can eat and maybe if I get something specific for her but pretend to eat it, she may be more interested. Silly cat.
In Jack news - there continues to be no contact from Animal Control. Jack could not have been any better with H. I had my friend's son B here yesterday afternoon and Jack was excellent with him too. It is strange that now he is better with people IN our house than out of it.
When Dallas was failing Id give her her pain pills in liverwurst. She'd always eat liverwurst.
It means Jack feels safe in your house.
so now you get to make him learn that he is safe when you are around where ever you are.
Suzi have you tried a weight gain supplement for Miss Kitty? I know that GNC makes once (because I repriced it yesterday along with so many other things) and it might help.
I haven't tried liverwurst. May give that a shot, thanks for the suggestion.
As for Jack...he needs to get out more. I just want to get him a vest or something that says Don't Pet. He REALLY doesn't like people reaching for him before he is ready. Looks like there are some out there with color coding - Yellow for Anxious and Red for Do not Approach.
I am feeling really accomplished today! For the first time in a looooong time. I've sent off pitches I have been putting off for months, I've organized my week, I feel on top of my deadlines, and am planning to early vote in the LA Senate race tomorrow.
Honestly, it's been so long since I felt like doing anything but the bare minimum. I don't feel like it's mania, either. My brain is working again!
Hurray, Nora! That's fantastic to hear.
