The best I can do on a daily basis is park at the opposite end of the lot from the elevators, and schedule my meetings in the farthest conference rooms. But it's not really enough.
I do a lot of that type of thing. Mostly I park at the far end of the parking lots because that is where the shade is found for the car. I figure every little bit...
I am so out of shape. And I gained back all the weight I lost on the weight-loss med, so. I'm trying to stick to a low-carb diet, which isn't that hard if I have the right food in the house. Finding the motivation to exercise is really hard though.
I do small things like go to the furthest of the coffee shops to get steps in on break, true. I figure every little bit means less on my evening walk to finish up my 10,000. The walking is helping, and I have ambitions of doing C25K after I meet my weight goal, but one step at a time.
I didn't walk that much at work. Only about 3000 steps but we were doing price changes.. but I've also been walking over 15K steps some days so I guess it works out.
I think I've lost some weight. I need to do something more but I've been so tired that I haven't.
I fell off my exercise wagon and have been struggling to find the motivation. I have exactly zero excuses.
Hey, have any of you used Coastal for glasses?
I have a prescription for progressive lenses and I'm a bit nervous about spending the money on a) glasses I don't really want but need and b) on glasses over the intertubes.
Coastal has a 50% off deal on lenses today, which would make the entire purchase $200 less than getting similar glasses at Warby Parker. BUT with WP, you can have someone in the store do your measurements.
Any advice or thoughts, hivemind?
I've gotten a couple good pairs of glasses from Coastal. The main thing when buying over the internet is to know how wide the glasses need to be, and what your pupillary distance is. If you have those two items and you know what shape looks good on you, there should be no problem.
I measured my pupillary distance with a ruler...63,,,by am not sure how wide the glasses need to be.
If you have glasses that fit you, measure between the hinges.
Might be more accurate to get your pupil distance checked at WalMart or some other walk in place. If that's off, the glasses won't be wearable. Learned that the hard way.
If you have an old prescription it might be on that. It won't change.
I took Miss Kitty to the vet yesterday for a general check up. She has lost a pound over the last 6 months and her arthritis is ridiculous. We let her walk around on the floor and the vet was kinda amazed that she didn't have a disjointed hip based on the way she moved. She weighs just under 7 lbs and she used to be a "fluffy" cat. The vet said she could take x-rays, order an MRI, or a whole battery of other tests, but no matter what we found, nothing would fix the arthritis and if she does have cancer or something else, we wouldn't be able to improve her quality of life.
So, my goal is to fatten her up. But with nutritious stuff, not cat treats. We don't want to give her diarrhea on top of everything else. She gave me some sample of high calorie food and I'm throwing some in her bowl and trying to get her to eat a bit every couple of hours. She is a FINICKY eater. She doesn't like wet cat food. She loves people food when it is what we are eating. If I prepare something just for her, like eggs without anything added, she turns her nose up at it.
