Laura, I just want to hug you both. The only consolation for me would be that it was fast, she didn't suffer, she wasn't afraid. The story would be different if a gator had gotten her, and then you'd never know. Losing them is always hard, but I understand that guilt.

So sad about all the kittehs. Grr...I love getting hassled for some kind of Disability Hot Take after our local newspaper posted some story about a workshop closing because they don't have the money, blah, blah. That still doesn't make it right to pay those people $2 an hour and pretend that teaches them something. Other than Chris Rock's thing about "If I could pay you less, I would." of course.Other states have actually advanced some intriguing solutions, but I doubt that ours ever will, because people are not a priority, here, whatever our ability levels. This woman never paid that much attention to what I thought when I was her social-work client. I hope one of my friends who is less equivocal offers some knowledge.

Well heck. This morning Miss Kitty's front legs weren't quite doing what she wanted them to do. I hate this. She has gotten so thin. I try to offer her food throughout the day and she does eat, but she is so thin.
