"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I am a bad trivia team member. It's been one of my bad anxiety-depression-IBS days. As I was getting ready to leave, it started pouring and I said, "Fuck it."

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

OK, so Thursday. I get up to leave work, and my back just SHOOTS pain all around the lumbar area. I do stretches and what not that night. And Friday, I can at least move around, and the pain is a dull roar. Saturday, wanes a bit more. It came back yesterday. Not quite as bad, but still. Dude, WTF?! So it's fine when sitting. But then when I stand up, tons of pain. Then the first few steps feel like no matter how I twist/move the body, it's pain in the back. Then, once taking a few steps, it's (mostly) fine. Just a dull throb of pain, but nothing compared to the shooting pain. I just want it to stop. By that description, it would seem to be a compression type of thing (making shit up here, trying to troubleshoot my back, and I'm not trained in medical arts). With the release of the compression (sitting to standing), the feeling overloads the nerves in the area?? But standing and sitting are about the same compression on the lower spine. Unless the walking on the crutches releases some of it, or something. I dunno.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Oh omnis, that sounds frustrating and painful. I hope you find an answer soon.

The problem with being "magic" at work...they want me to come back tomorrow to help out some more. Which, YAY, but I'm still not caught up from being out.

I refuse to resent my vacation time. I'm just annoyed with the harsh reality of regular life. Work is crazy busy, KCD has already pissed me off, CJ hasn't been around at all, K-Bug hasn't responded to my texts of the last couple of days and there is still the outstanding rifle issue. I want to go back to the land of not dealing.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

omnis, that sounds painful. I would see a doctor about it, since you seem to be doing what you can, and it's been almost five days.

Suzi, can I come with you to the land of not dealing? Just for a day? I'll be very quiet.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

My hip problems sometimes piss of the sciatic nerve and that's been like trying to stand on daggers getting up in the past. You have health insurance, use it. Calling your doctor is likely the fastest and most long-term useful answer for the pain. Ouch.

Omnis, that sounds painful. Do you have anything you can take for the pain? I second the suggestion to call a doctor, if it's been going on this long.

Anytime. Just gotta figure out how to get to the land of not dealing first.

Thrive to spite them

Maria I'm so glad the job is working out.

Aimee, I'm sorry things are so stressful I hope they work out for you.

I'm loving working at Best Buy, I'm still learning the ropes but I earned my blue shirt today! And a headset, which is great because I like feeling connected to the chatter. I'm still figuring out the moving situation. There might be a solution but I'm waiting on stuff to happen.

Saw my shrink who was very encouraged, except he told me to stop taking naps during the day (I'm not sleeping well). And what did I do - go home and fall asleep from about 7-9 pm. Great.

However, I've lost 7 lbs since I saw him last (and going of the Seroquel) so that's encouraging. I can't really see it but I can tell in how some clothes fit me.
