I hope F heals quickly.
I did some training stuff...well the reading parts. I know there will be more things. UnI form requirements aren't bad..khaki pants and athletic shoes or my clogs will work. No color requirements.
Then I was heading home and Mom texted me...my brother needed her to take her some place for something and could o watch E when I got home.
This threw me off and I needed to go to the grocery store and other stuff and I didn't realize I forgot 2 things I needed. AND I started beating myself up. But stoppped because I realized I didn't give myself a chance to digest it and refocus. Next time I'm taking 5 minutes to just physically stop moving and breathE and then refugure my plans.
And also remember that because of past situations. .including today...thr plans will then change again at least twice.
Yikes! Parenting is not for the faint of heart!
Ugh. My ankle's been kind of bad all day, but it's getting really painful now. I don't know why. Pretty sure I'm not going to get much sleep tonight -- painkillers are bringing it down to maybe a 5 or so, but that's not enough to be able to sleep.
I really need to get out of the habit of buying stuff when I'm hurting like this. I just ordered some disposable fountain pens and handwriting workbooks from the 1800s, because I really don't like my handwriting. (I have real fountain pens, but haven't used them in a while.)
The arthritis in my hands is getting worse, to the point that my handwriting, even with a ballpoint, is pretty sloppy. I'm probably going to be reducing my fountain pen collection down to the inherited pieces, and aution off my inks. It's sad to see them collecting dust and knowing I'll never use them again.
I'm sorry to hear your hands are so painful, Bev.
Thanks, Windsparrow. It's only partly pain, that's pretty manageable. It's mainly the stiffness that prevents the pretty handwriting. But I can still type, and so, communicate, so that's a good thing.

Oh, no! I would love right of first refusal on any pens that you are putting on ebay or whatever. I had that gorgeous yellow one that you gave me for years, until I somehow bent the body of it so that it would not screw together anymore. Actually, I still have it, I just can't use it.
Laura, I'm not even on the John H Natter diet, but I've skipped & skimmed enough to understand.
I am sorry to learn of the death of your mother. I'm also sorry to learn of the "drama" (not from you) that you have had to deal with.
May God rest your mother and give your family peace. Please don't worry about people who can't have compassion for you. I am sorry for your loss. May you find peace and strength.
