Well, a gathering is brie, mellow song stylings; shindig, dip, less mellow song stylings, perhaps a large amount of malt beverage, and hootenanny, well, it's chock full of hoot, just a little bit of nanny.

Okay, about 45 minutes ago I had a sudden sharp pain and pressure in the right side of my chest that hurt so badly and lasted long enough that, if it had been on the left side of my chest (because, heart) I would have called 911.

I've been googling, and hilariously, the internet thinks I have a collapsed lung. But I'm not having a hard time breathing or anything. And I have WAY too much shit to do and possibly a low tire on the car in the driveway.

Yes, I would tell ALL of you to at least go to urgent care with this if you posted that you had a sudden sharp pain and pressure in your chest. I'm just trying to justify not going. Also, I haven't showered in 2 days and I don't want to go to urgent care all stinky.

I am ridiculous.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Is it possibly acid reflux? I used to think I was having a heart attack all the time. I'd say take some tums and see if it gets a little better in 10 minutes. If not, call your doctor or go to urgent care.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I'm gonna agree with sj here.

Does acid reflux pain happen over on the right side? Like, WAY over? It's not close at all to the left side, or even the center. But I have Tums, and I might as well try it.

It's probably nothing. Just a weird...something. I'm pretty lightheaded, but that's probably stress. Or I need to eat something. It was probably just a weird anomaly.

Our wings are not tired.

Was it possibly like a side stitch or spasm of the chest muscle? They can really hurt.

Well, Tums didn't change anything. I texted Tim and he called and when I told him what happened, he said that's what happened when his lung collapsed (pain, pressure, lightheadedness with any exertion). But that's statistically improbable. That I have a collapsed lung, too. That would be ludicrous.

I guess it could be a spasm of the chest muscle. It still feels like a big fat man is pushing down on my chest, though, and there's a weird pain in the same spot (um, latitude-wise, I mean) on my back, like under my shoulder blade.

hip deep in pie

Steph, I have had those stabbing pains from acid reflux all over. They would often be sharp enough that they would trigger panic attacks. My doctor pointed out that the digestive system snakes everywhere.

Huh. Maybe more Tums, then? I just wish the pressure on my chest would stop.
