Classes start tomorrow. I teach at 9. Can't sleep -- ankle hurting.
Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
That sucks, Hil.
I hope that restful and renewing sleep happened for all Bitches.
It is Monday and I have a big bad case of don't wannas. At 10 I made DH take me out to breakfast. I can't say it helped the don't wannas, but at least I am not as grumpy.
Today is my son's birthday! He is a fine young man. He is going to do okay in this world.
Sleep has been substituted with coffee.
I made the mistake of turning on the computer before I left for work this morning.
Did the computer deny you coffee, Dana?
I finally have my home office set-up and am working at a desk at home for the first time in yonks. I'm liking it. Work gave me a monitor so now I have two screens full of stuff!
No, but it glued me to the couch for a good 20 minutes.
Ahhhh, yes, the timesuck. Gotcha.
I am at my coworking space. I hate having 30-40 emails waiting for me in the morning. Darn you, east coast!
Also hate: the revised weather forecast that has my boat day being only 70. Not warm enough for swimming!!!
And good point about the mothers/caregivers versus not. I'd be curious of the results. My patriarchy related cynical brain wonders if there hasn't been more research because men don't want to be -shown in a bad light.
My patriarchy-addled cynical brain figured they didn't bother to take into account whether the women were mothers/caregivers because ALL women are moms and babysitters and childcare-givers, and it didn't occur to them that there might be any difference between women who were used to children and women who weren't.

This should be in my email signature. Along with "Handle with care."

noooo, don't scold it! It'll go away and we'll be back to 90 deg days again!
It was so nice and cool this morning, at 67 deg F.
