Yeah, I'm sure it's true but you really need to let him have his own relationship and style with her. It won't be as efficient but they'll sort themselves out. You're playing the long game here. Short term losses for long term gains in intimacy and trust.

So, I think my baby (22 in a couple weeks) has a girlfriend. Looks that way, maybe. He has always been a super social guy with lots of friends, but hasn't had a girlfriend, to my knowledge anyway. If so, she is a lucky girl because he is a lovely caring young man. She has been over a couple times in the last week going places with him. She is 6' tall! Considering the height of so many in my world she fits right in. Both my SILs are 6'. Anyway, if this is the case I am delighted.
eta: So I asked him this morning. He said as of 4 days ago they are dating. Woo! They have known each other a long time, but this is a change in status. Woo!

CJ and his girlfriend just hit 6 months and they are still adorable. Jack has basically accepted her as someone who is allowed in the house and can move around the house, though he still keeps a wary eye on her.
