Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Oh yeah, my favorite was when my mom left me at a gas station on a road trip. She did her usual glance in the back seat and counted 1,2,3, Where Is Laura!! My older sister calmly let her know that I was in the gas station rest room. After they turned around and drove back I was just standing there in the parking lot wondering where they had all gone.
Hah, we did that once at the pool when my sister was little. We were with family friends who had 5 kids, so I think we left the two youngest behind because we thought they were hiding in the back of the van? Something like that.
A family once left a kid at a garage sale that my family had. There were a few families going to a bunch of garage sales together, and apparently, when they left ours, everyone thought this kid was in someone else's car. She was just two or three years old, and only knew Spanish.
My parents' left me behind when they moved! I mean, they realized after a little while they forgot me, but still.
Yeah, my first DH came home from school and his mother had moved and never mentioned it to him. Now I had my issues with her, but I hope it was inadvertent.
According to family lore, my dad stabbed me with a diaper pin while changing me when I was just a few months old. He said I didn't cry, I just looked up at him like "Daddy, how could you?" which made HIM cry.
I have a small scar on my arm.
My parents were at a party where people had been celebrating and drinking, it was raining and Mom handed me off to a friend while she and my dad ran to get the car.
The friend slipped and jerked me up and in the process sliced my arm with her metal disc earring. (It was the 70s). I don't know if the drinking was a factor but mom throws it in.
My grandmother left kids all kinds of places. She had a lot.

This kind of makes her sound like the Easter Bunny.
