Honestly, you meet the most appalling sort of people....

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thrive to spite them

So I finally listened to the Hamilton soundtrack. Prior to the musical being a hit I knew he was on the 10 dollar bill and died in a duel. After that I knew a little more but not much. I had a hard time because I wasn't sure who was singing sometimes and also the directions would kick in.

It was fantastic but I wish I could see the musical to get a better idea of what was going on.

It took me several listens to be sure who was singing at any given point. The annotated lyrics on Genius really helped, too (click on each song title for the annotated lyrics): [link]

Uh, no, because it's awesome.

That was the first song from the show that I loved, so, no.

Okay. I was thinking it was weird to love that one over the others. But it's so...I think it's the possessive lover aspect of it.

And I really like the effect done in...Satisfied...is that Angelica's toast where she wishEs she could go bwck.

I keep wondering about the staging for most of these songs. I know bits from specials but that's one song I'd love to see.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

My cousin who does not interact with me in anyway either in rl or on Facebook just sent me a message asking me to promote her personal trainer Ponzi scheme herbal supplement business in a public post. Hell no.

Our wings are not tired.

Multi level marketing people don't get anywhere if they're not willing to exploit everyone they've ever met.

Truthiness!

I am in single task mode, which is really tough for a life long multi-tasker. After over 2 years with no issues, over the weekend I started having auras which often precipitate seizure. I had only had the one seizure 2-1/2 years ago, but had the auras for a time after. The last month I have been negligent in self care and paying the price apparently. I need my sleep. Period. No excuses. So I am stepping back and deliberately not over stimulating. So no watching tv, while working, while facebooking, while talking on the phone, while answering questions for people walking up to me. Easier said than done.

If it weren't for the scaring me half to death part worrying about possibly having a seizure the auras would be interesting. Every aroma is pow in your face overwhelming, and the visual aspect makes colors pop so much that watching TV is overwhelming. I had to go train one of my doctors and when I left her office all the cars in the parking lot were super shiny and bright colors. (note I had DH drive me there because I am sane, well not sane enough to stop working but sane enough to not drive)

Anyway, no auras today since I got up this morning so I will continue to take proper care of myself and get my sleep and stuff. A little brain~ma would be a good thing too.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I love your spicy brain, Laura. Please continue to take good care of it.
