It is going to be a long ugly summer in politics. There are going to be many times when I will have to avoid all media.
Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Today is one of those days where I can't even listen to NPR because my head might explode.
I usually listen in the car. Can't do that now until...February. Afraid I might cause an accident when I go all apoplectic.
I take it you heard the interview with the Republican senator who whined about an "ambush interview" when the NPR reporter asked him questions? You know, about the candidate he's supporting?
THAT GUY WAS THE WORST! UGH! I'm glad the interviewer (blanking on her name) gently "whatevered" him.
I went to the doctor about my ear and my blood pressure. As usual, when she looks at my ear now, it's "just a little fluid," and she suggested about eight things that I already do. Also, as usual, the phrase "My mother had a double bypass at age 39" will change "Your blood pressure is kind of high, but you're young -- just try not to eat so much salt" to "Let me prescribe you every blood pressure medication known to man." (And also, until my blood pressure is under control, no Sudafed, which means more ear pain, but I haven't been taking the Sudafed for the past week or two because my blood pressure has been worrying me.)
Why yes, that interview was exactly what I was reacting to in the moment. NOPE.
Ugh, Hil. I hope you feel better soon.

Is this the same politician who said "I thought that we were going to talk about foreign policy" when asked about the effects of trying to build a wall on the border of a foreign country.
I need to buy a new travel coffee mug. The big one doesn't some in the color that I want.
I know that my Bitches will appreciate the dilemma between aesthetics and an additional 4 ounces of coffee. Thoughts?
I vote aesthetics! Or more internet searching for perfection.
I just tried on some bathing suits that I'd ordered. Have to return all of them. Which means paying shipping to the UK. Blah.
Vortex, I vote aesthetics too. You can always brew stronger coffe if you end up missing the additional caffeine.
Ugh, Hil, for both the sinuses and the bathing suit problem.
