Today is J's birthday. We went out for brunch and then to his favorite electronics store. I got him some cool-ass shoes in blue and black : [link] since it gets hot here in the Summertime and he hates sandals. He seemed to really like them. Hard to find cool shoes in size 14!

Tonight, we're just hanging out at home and watching GoT. I would have made more of a fuss over him, but he doesn't like a fuss. Me, I LOVE a fuss!

I got in a disagreement with Mom.

So decided to go ahead and start dinner as a make up for that.

Burned my hand. hurts. all walk in clinics are closed due to memorial day. dont think its bad enough for er. but dont have any supplies to take care of burn.

A baking soda paste will help with the pain. Use water as cold as you have.

The christening yesterday was lovely. Stitch is a total snugglebug. ltc had a great time too and was just desperate to get down and play with all of vw's nieces and nephews.

Second degree burn! well and some first degree. I have pain meds cuz it kinda hurts and ointment.

And then we had to go back becasue all the pharmacies were closed cuz its Memorial day.

I don t know if i need the pain medication for the pain yet but I took it because getting the car I did something that made it hurt and I'm sure I'm going to bang it against something.

When I had a second degree burn on my forearm, I put a wet kitchen flour sack towel on it, and placed a small desk fan to blow on it, and it really helped.

My parents are visiting. My mother keeps insisting that Cincinnati is "down south," and therefore she should have BBQ and fried chicken, because that's southern food. I don't even know.
